What we see

The society's shared terrace had become an informal walking track for older residents in the block, but the loop passed close to a stretch of parapet lower than the rest, something nobody had flagged until a resident asked about it directly.

What we check

We walked the actual evening route with a resident, measured the parapet height along that specific stretch against the rest of the terrace, and treated that lower section as the priority rather than netting the full perimeter equally.

Why it matters

The one genuinely risky stretch got the strongest treatment first, and the society could show the resident who raised the concern exactly what had changed.

The terrace parapet needed proper fall-safety netting, but the family's most urgent concern was a coconut palm overhanging one corner of the roof, a different hazard that a standard edge net wouldn't address on its own.

We separated the two issues clearly: parapet and shaft netting for fall safety across the terrace, and a note that the overhanging palm needed its own coconut-tree netting or trimming, since one product doesn't solve both.

Why it matters

The family got the fall-safety work done correctly instead of assuming one net would also stop falling coconuts, and knew exactly what separate step to take next.
