Start with the opening
Look beyond the flat front of the balcony
The visible front is only one part of the boundary. A net can look complete from the room while leaving a return, pipe cut-out or upper corner open. We use your photos to understand the problem, then confirm the full boundary on site.
Balcony front and side returns
Include the sides between walls, railings and neighbouring projections. The finished boundary should follow the opening rather than leave an easy path around one end.
AC shelves and window recesses

Mesh opening and overall net size are different measurements
We can arrange different panel sizes and mesh options. The panel dimensions describe how much opening is covered; the mesh opening describes the spaces within that panel. Selecting one does not automatically select the other.
Identify the bird you need to exclude
Pigeon-focused mesh is not automatically suitable for every smaller bird. Share a clear photo or describe the birds using the opening so the specification matches the problem.
Ask for the clear mesh opening
Confirm the opening in millimetres as well as the material and twine details. Avoid comparing two quotes using only “thick net” or “premium net”.
Measure each face separately
Front, side and overhead panels can add up to more than the balcony floor area. Irregular corners, pipe cut-outs and access panels belong in the drawing and estimate.
The finish you live with
A lighter-looking boundary still needs complete edges
Transparent pigeon nets are a choice of appearance, not an invisible wall. Fine lines, knots and fittings remain visible, especially against the sky or in direct light. We can discuss clear, white or darker finishes using the background and the view from indoors.
Keep the existing railing
Bird netting is an exclusion measure. It should not be treated as a tested child guard, pet enclosure or a substitute for a structural balcony railing.
Allow for ordinary use
Check window travel, furniture movement and clothes-drying clearance. Mesh allows air through its openings, but it does not make a balcony dustproof, mosquito-proof or rainproof.

Will transparent pigeon netting disappear from view?

Can the net cover an AC ledge without blocking servicing?

Does the net stop droppings from above?

Will this make the balcony dustproof or mosquito-proof?

Will coastal fittings remain rust-free forever?
No permanent rust-free promise is made. We assess exposure and specify suitable fittings, then advise checking visible corrosion and loose edges over time. Nearby coastal location alone does not determine the entire specification.
