Start with the animal using the space

Choose the actual net, not just its label
A pet safety net or cat net is specified for the intended use; the name alone does not establish suitability. Overall net size, mesh opening and strand thickness are different measurements. We review the available material and mesh choices against the pet and opening before confirming a quote.
A quoted mesh dimension is not the whole answer. Material movement, loose loops, stretched openings and gaps around the edge also affect the enclosure. Ask how the selected net is finished and fixed, and how it should be inspected as the pet grows or its behaviour changes.
Colour and visual lightness describe appearance, not resistance to chewing or climbing. Nylon, HDPE and other net options differ by their actual product construction and specification. Inspect the whole perimeter
Look at the net and its attachments as a complete enclosure. Cleaning follows the instructions for the material supplied. Do not pull on a damaged strand, add a makeshift loop or reach beyond the protected area to repair a difficult fixing.
Chewed strands, tears, loose loops, brittle or heavily worn material, moving fixings and widening edge gaps should be checked. Keep the pet away from the opening until the issue is resolved. Appearance alone cannot confirm that old netting remains suitable for the intended pet.
Painting, window repairs, AC servicing or moving furniture can disturb a fixing or create new access. A different pet, a growing puppy or newly observed chewing also changes the original assessment. Ask for a review rather than assuming the original mesh choice remains appropriate indefinitely.
Repair the cause as well as the hole
